1. What Verilay is

Verilay is an online tool that uses AI to analyse code repositories and provide plain-English security observations. It is designed to help non-developers understand potential security concerns in AI-built applications. The free analysis reads a sample of your files; the deep scan reads more of your codebase and checks every dependency in full detail.

2. Payment and the deep scan

The free analysis remains free for everyone, indefinitely, with no account required. The deep scan is a one-off paid upgrade for a single app: it reads more of your codebase, checks every dependency in full detail, and includes unlimited re-scans of that same app for 30 days from purchase so you can confirm a fix actually worked.

• Payment is processed by Stripe. Verilay never sees or stores your card details.
• Prices are shown in AUD at checkout before you pay.
• A deep scan is tied to the specific app (GitHub repository) it was purchased for.
• Refunds: if a deep scan fails to run or produces no usable report, contact [email protected] for a full refund. Once a report has been generated, the purchase has delivered what it promised, and refunds are at our discretion — reach out and we'll look at it fairly.

3. What Verilay is not

• Not a professional security audit or penetration test
• Not a guarantee that your app is secure or insecure
• Not a substitute for professional security advice for production applications handling sensitive data
• Not liable for decisions made based on analysis results

4. AI disclaimer

Verilay uses Claude AI (Anthropic) to analyse code. AI analysis has known limitations:

• False positives: Verilay may flag correct code as a potential issue
• False negatives: Verilay may miss genuine security issues
• Context limitations: Analysis is based on a sample of files — not the entire codebase, even for the deep scan
• Score variation: The same codebase may receive slightly different scores on different runs
• Not a replacement for human review: For apps handling payments, health data, or personal information, a professional security review is recommended

Always verify findings with your AI builder before making any code changes. Verilay provides advice prompts specifically designed for safe investigation before action.

5. Acceptable use

You may use Verilay to analyse:

• Your own applications and repositories
• Open source repositories you have permission to analyse
• Applications you have been authorised to assess

You may not use Verilay to:

• Analyse applications without authorisation from the owner
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or copy the analysis prompts or AI logic
• Deliberately submit malicious inputs to probe or attack the service
• Resell or commercially embed Verilay without a commercial licence
• Share a paid account's sign-in access with someone who did not make the purchase

6. Intellectual property

Verilay is built and owned by Moses Ekbote. The source code is available on GitHub under a custom licence. Commercial use requires a separate licence — contact [email protected].

7. No warranty

Verilay is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of analysis results. Use at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Verilay and its creator shall not be liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to security breaches, data loss, or decisions made based on analysis results. Our total liability for any claim relating to the deep scan is limited to the amount you paid for that scan.

9. Changes to terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Verilay constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
